How to measure your dog for good fit muzzle:

Please size your dog in 6 places:

1.Length - Distance from the tip of the nose to eye line in inches

STEP 1

2.Circumference - Circumference around snout one inch below eye line in inches

STEP 2

3.Eye Line - Distance from eye line to right behind the ears in inches

STEP 3

4.Neck Circumference- Circumference around neck behind ears in inches

STEP 4

5.Width- Snout width in the widest part

STEP 5

6.Height - Snout height , should be measured with mouth a little open

Muzzle sizes and how to measure your dog's nose. To measure your dog for a muzzle, run your tape from the nose to just behind the ears then use the conversion chart in How to Measure your Dog for a Muzzle.Measure your dog for the correct muzzle size. Start at the eye of the dog and measure down to the tip of the nose to get an accurate muzzle length. To measure for the proper circumference, start one inch below the eye and measure all the way around the nose of the dog. For proper muzzle fit, you must add length to each circumference measurement. An addition of one-fourth of an inch to half of an inch is required for a small dog. Large dogs require an additional half inch to one full inch. Special muzzles made of mesh material are available for dogs that have short noses.
